ParaPetWay
Hi guys, i always play Racway with my para and my heros. I get my new fenix pet and i was think about some build to use it. Sure it is not strong as imbagon butsi kind of nice, and pets are really cool .
Feel free to coment
Para1:
["go for the eyes"]["there's nothing to fear!"]["ebon battle standard of honor"]["I am the strongest!"][cruel spear][aggressive refrain][charm animal][comfort animal]
Para2:
["go for the eyes"][fall back][signet of return][spear of lightning][cruel spear][aggressive refrain][charm animal][comfort animal]
Para3:
["go for the eyes"][fall back][signet of return][spear of lightning][cruel spear][aggressive refrain][charm animal][comfort animal]
necro curses:
[Spiteful Spirit][barbs][Mark of Pain][Rigor Mortis][Weaken Armor][Rend Enchantments][Signet of Sorrow][death pact signet]
Atributes are:
Spear: 10+1+1
Command:6+1
Leadership:11+1
Beast Mastery: Whatever left
I sacrifice my attacks skils for an better defense and ofense(nothin to fear and Ward of Honor), but Im the Strogest with rank 10 helps increasing my damage. Try to get everthing that would sinergyze with the paras in the necro, especialy barbs. Unhaply there is no elite skil that would increase the build efective. I was think about give vampiric spear for the paragons, monk job deals with degen
So, how can i make it beter?

a way to make better: use black bears as your pet, they have bestial mauling (will trigger your shouts since it's an "attack" skill ^^)

ill just point this out before it becomes the topic of the thread: Pets Suck
alot
anyways, lose [comfort animal]x3 for [Revive Animal]x1. drop 2 cruel spears for [stunning strike] and... something else, 3 isnt really helpful. try to get some more shouts in there, anthem of envy comes to mind...
Edit: the great black bear can be captured on guild wiki i believe. Any you might want to be carful with them, they do have a lower dps than all of the other pets in the game.

lol Rieden, let's not mislead anybody here. Black bears have "brutal mauling"(monster skill), not [bestial mauling]. How nice would that be for a pet to have its own dazing skill for knocked down foes, talk about freeing up a skill bar by 12.5% lol.
Just a little addition: GWW has the info on black bears and they can be tamed in pre and post. Pets used to be soooooo much more valuable when they provided exploitable corpses, I still like using them to soak up enemy hate though.

exsuse me, what (she?) said ^^
also let me add that with the "ally" shout you have added in your build, brutal mauling will probably provide more dps than another pet (with the added bonus that is)
but someone else can do the math if they want, im busy watching mlg live stream
EDIT: now that i look at it, having black bears woudlnt make a difference, since there are actually no shouts in your build being triggered by using an "attack skill", just by attacking ^^ maybe throw in a flame amthem?

Pets are allies, athen is for party menbers, i was thinking about Envy. What is the best DPS pet? , i mean no attack skils, just regular atacks

Crual Spear is just the biggest damage for paragon, btw you dont need to daze the mobs, using cruel spear you will just kill then all.
EDIT: but revive animal is just perfect XD

So your suggesting that direct damage with an overlapping condition is better than complete shutdown?...I simply can't agree.

Wouldn't [Never Rampage Alone] (15e every 20sec or so now, 25% IAS for player & pet) be better on the Player than [Aggressive Refrain].

After some testing this reminds me a lot of a small scale Barrage/Pet group.
I think the weakest part of this build by far is the SS/Barbs Necro. His build could be greatly enhanced by dropping [SS] and instead [OoV] and [Barbs].
If using Orders you'd see much more significant damage from [Barrage] or [Volley] or even [Incendiary Arrows] than single target attacks. Note that Orders does not apply to pets but will still do tons more than SS.
So theoretically in it's simplest form:
Necro (hero) = [OoV] [Barbs] or even a resto necro with just [OoV]
Ranger 1 (hero) = [Barrage] [Favorable Winds] [Charm Animal]
Ranger 2 (hero) = [Incendiary Arrows] [Apply Poison] [Charm Animal] or [Barrage] [Splinter Weapon]
Player (Any/R) = [Barrage] [Charm Animal]
Then add in skills like [Distracting Shot], a pet rez, [Ebon Battle Standard of Honor] possibly even [Splinter Weapon] and a hard rez like [Rebirth] or [Death Pact signet].
Depending upon your attributes every arrow shot will theoretically be doing around +30 damage to a single target and around 20 to AoE targets ([OoV] + [Barbs] + [Favorable Winds]) in addition to the bonus damage/degen from skills. Even when running just [OoV] and [Favorable Winds] you get the about +20 to [Barrage]
I love your builds concept, but i just didn't feel like the damage was at it max potential. This is a drastic change from triple necro which I've been running for ages, thanks for the motivation.

Deep wound doesn't stack, so having 3 of them isn't exactly utilizing your elite spot very well. I'd take something along the lines of [Defensive Anthem] or [Song of Purification]. or one on each.
You have so many "GFTE!"s flying around that you don't even need [Cruel spear]. Use [Vicious Attack] and take a more worthwhile elite on yourself.

U guys must undestand that i really like dazed foes, but im using 3 cruel spears not just for the deep wound, its is the best damage skill for paragon. This build work around focus fire in one single target at time, so most of the regular mobs will just die in few seconds when i call the target, there is no need of reducing the group DPS to aply daze in a foe who will die in fews seconds. I use to clean FoW with cruel spears paragons and even 3 monks close to each other cant outheal the damage. Depends on the mobs in the area i can use Stuning Strike in one of the paragons to take care of caster, especialy bosses. But in general way Cruel can really take care of almost everthing.
About [never rampage alone] seens to be very energy expensive for paragon, but ill try to test it.
About [spiteful spirit] i really dont like it, i would prefer somenthing with better synergy. Probably its better use [order of the vampire], ill try too.
I was thinking about using [Defile Flesh]. The loss of healing really makes the target die whetever monks try to save him.Its isnt an perfect skill but has an good synergy too.
Finaly, i remenber that ranger spirit who increase the phisical damage by 4, dont remenber it name, but it can be an option, even i dont like using spitits.
Code:

Im in the same situation u are. I use racway build all the time. I know this pet build inst the best, but it is just for fun and change things a litle, and btw it can dish some damage.
Thanks for the feedback, sorry for bad english

Rofl, if you think that trying to be funny makes your build any better then you're wrong. So 8 points in BM makes it any better? No it doesnt.
Use Beast Mastery line or drop the pet, you just gimp yourself, don't you understand? If you really have to take pets than put 10+ in BM and use some skills that justify your attribute investments. RaO (or HaO) Spearchuker is a good example of an effective pet build.
